Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Manitos has raised over $400,000 to aid the children being treated at Paraguay’s National Cancer Institute (INCAN), and provided thousands of dollars more in toys, electronics and basic needs. Every dollar given goes a long way here.
For the past two years our efforts have been directed toward purchasing land and funding construction and improvements for the Posada Emily in conjunction with our in-country partners at the San Peregrino Foundation.
The Posada opened in the late spring of 2017, providing a secure haven with beds, meals and kitchen facilities for families and children undergoing cancer treatment at the adjacent hospital. Manitos seeks funds to provide for the ongoing operations of the Posada, for staffing therapy programs, and for enhancements like a garden and play area.
